Dead Space Break-Fast Wiki

Tau Volantis is an icy planet, with some flotillas in space above it, that was once the site of an archeological expedition and is rumored to hold the source of the Necromorph outbreaks. The planet itself and the flotillas above it are the areas in which Dead Space 3: Break-Fast takes place. Tau Volantis has frequent blizzards and is home to hostile wildlife, as well as hostile people.

Inhabitants[]

Unitologists still inhabit the planet and seem to be run by an orginization known as S.C.A.F. (seen on what appears to be supply crates in the DS3 gameplay demo), and they appear to still be protecting or searching for something on the planet.

Necromorphs also inhabit the planet, but some of these species are more evolved than that of which Isaac has previously encountered. This is proven by the Fodder's alternate forms and the fact that the Divider's head can take over humans and still use the weapons they were carrying while still alive. The Necromorphs also seem to have no trouble dealing with the harsh weather conditions and cold.

Character Relations[]

Upon reaching the planet Isaac Clarke and Ellie Langford get separated as their ship is blown apart upon entry. After arriving on the planet Isaac wanders around and finds that there are in fact Necromorphs on the planet. After fighting off hordes of Necromorphs and Unitologists he meets up with John Carver and they begin to travel together. However, Carver beigns to question Isaac's motives and tells him, "that not him, or Ellie, or anyone else will stop him from what he came here to do." After which he asks Isaac if he really knows what he's here for, upon which Isaac replies, "I do, but do you?"
